Last weekend in August, after several attempts meeting it seems that finally we will match our friends in Barcelona and Castellón. The meeting point is Xodos, a beautiful town in the district of Alcalatén in the province of Castellón. The agenda unbeatable, hiking, relaxation, food, mushroom picking, photography and bathing in spring water, all in a magnificent setting in the Natural Park of Penyagolosa.
Penyagolosa From San Juan to begin the journey on Saturday, up the Barranco de la Pegunta and through its namesake source to reach the Banyadera, prior to the rise highlands where forces are recovered. From here, the climb is continued up to 1813 meters to crown this summit as the highest of the community, being both a unique viewpoint.
The day culminates with a successful collection of the variety of mushrooms Boletus edulis, better known as Funghi Porcini or Ceps in this area.
dominguera For the morning we made a path down the river looking Carbo, which gives birth waterfalls and pools where it is possible to swim in icy waters. Cars back to playing walk uphill, an effort that was rewarded with a delicious "risotto porcini funghy" Parmesan once back in Xodos.
